Team Multi Screen Media bulldozed Team Jagran Group in a praiseworthy match, dotted with impressive batting and equally threatening bowling volleys from the victors. It was a fitting closure to a fiercely fought tournament.

The tournament finals between Delhi finalists, Team Jagran Group and Mumbai finalists, Team Multi Screen Media made for an exciting culmination. Amar Ujala Agency and Media Cricket League - the engaging 50-day cricketing saga saw more than 60 teams play over 80 matches, in three different cities. Apart from the cash prize of rupees one lakh, the tournament winner, Multi Screen Media, also won gifts worth the same amount. The runners-up didn't go empty-handed, either. They were rewarded with cash worth Rs 50,000, and gifts worth the same amount.

Team Jagran won the toss and decided to field first. Though the bowling line-up of Team Jagran has been formidable throughout the tournament, it lacked intensity in this match. The opposing side set an impressive target of 179 runs. The bowling brigade of Team Jagran -- Pankaj Chaddha, Pawan Kumar, Surinder and Rohit -- employed multiple strategies, but was unable to prevent the batsmen from scoring. Vipin Chaurasia of Team Multi Screen Media scored 97 runs (off 34 balls, 9X4, 7X6), helped by his team-mate Vishal Pandey who scored 70 runs (off 24 deliveries, 6X4, 6X6). The only wicket Team Jagran could snap was that of Pratik's, who walked back without opening his account.

After a lacklustre bowling performance, Team Jagran ruined its chances of winning the match even further when the side was seen limping towards the target with difficulty. The team managed 94 runs, with a loss of five wickets. The highest scorer of Team Jagran was Kunal Jerath with 48 runs (off 28 balls, 6X4, 1X6).

Team Multi Screen Media won the match by 84 runs. Vipin Chaurasia of Team Multi Screen Media was adjudged the Man of the Match. He received the trophy from Sunder, AVP (South and West), Amar Ujala.
