MSM makes key organisational changes, Sneha Rajani is business head, SET

The network has made senior level changes with Ajit Thakur moving to Singapore to head Sony Pix and Sneha Rajani replacing Thakur, as senior executive vice-president and business head, SET.

Multi Screen Media (MSM) has made key organisational changes, with Ajit Thakur, business head, Sony Entertainment Channel (SET), being shifted to Singapore to head Sony Pix. Sneha Rajani, has replaced Thakur, as senior executive vice-president and business head, SET.

The development has been confirmed by MSM in an official communiqué.

Prior to this, Rajani used to head MAX. However, in her new role she will continue to manage all operations pertaining to the IPL and film acquisitions. Rajani has been with MSM for more than a decade, and has been the key force behind making the IPL coverage a success.

Neeraj Vyas, who currently heads ad sales for GECs, has been promoted as executive vice-president and business head for MAX. Vyas, who is also an old-timer at MSM, has played several key roles within MSM's ad sales structure.

A management degree holder from IIM Lucknow, Thakur joined Sony in 2009. He began his professional career with Coca-Cola India and worked on brands such as Sprite, Fanta and Maaza. He joined HUL India and later moved to New York where he worked on Dove. In 2007, he joined UTV as COO.

Rajani who joined MSM in 1999 is a chartered accountant from London. Prior to joining MSM, she was consultant programming at iSKYB at STAR India. Before STAR, she was vice-president, programming, at Asia Television Network (ATN). Rajani also worked for a brief period as CEO, programming, at Sri Adhikari Brothers.
