Ganesh Bhagwat comes back to LiveMedia

He will spearhead the company's efforts to further consolidate its position and revenues in both the western and southern parts of the country.

LiveMedia, a digital out-of-home (OOH) media company, has appointed Ganesh Bhagwat as vice-president for its western and southern operations. He will be based in Mumbai and will report to Rajan Mehta, founder and chief executive officer, LiveMedia.

Bhagwat will be in the media sales platform, and will spearhead LiveMedia's efforts to further consolidate its position. He is also expected to increase revenue earnings in both the western and southern parts of the country. His mandate includes understanding the clients in the digital OOH space and taking all the activations with the clients to the next level.

He joins LiveMedia from Future Group, where he was head, national sales (West), in charge of the space-on-hire (SOH) for Big Bazaar, Pantaloons and Central.

Speaking about Bhagwat's appointment, Mehta says, "This is Bhagwat's second stint with us. He will play an important role and is expected to act as a catalyst for the company's growth in the upcoming years. I am sure that his understanding of the changing consumer lifestyles and their media consumption habits, coupled with an understanding of the needs and aspirations of brands and marketers, will surely help us provide better value to our advertisers."

Bhagwat says, "We will work with a good network and my focus will be to work with clients so that they can draw maximum value out of their media spends."

Bhagwat has spent more than 16 years in the media industry, with experience in print, radio, digital and broadcast. He started his career with Mid-Day, where he spent almost five years in the sales team. After that, he joined Rediff.com in the sales team for three-and-a-half years. He has also worked with Walt Disney as regional sales head, Hungama channel, and Radio City as national sales head.
