Jitesh Rajdeo, senior vice-president and network sales head, Zee TV, has been appointed as the ad sales and revenue head, DNA, with effect from March 21. This is a newly created post.
In 2009, when Zee restructured its ad sales division to form two core clusters, Rajdeo was in charge of the cluster that included the regional GECs (general entertainment channels) and news channels of the group.
In his new role, Rajdeo will report to Joy Chakraborty, chief revenue officer, ZEEL.
Though there was no official confirmation from the Zee group, sources close to the development confirmed the news to afaqs!.
In another development, it is learnt that Dipayan Chowdhury, executive vice-president (revenues), DNA, will handle the Delhi branch of the organisation. He was heading the national sales team of DNA and was promoted as EVP (revenues) in March 2010. He has been associated with DNA newspaper for the past six years and has been responsible for the newspaper's Delhi branch earlier, as well.
Armed with 19 years of experience, Chowdhury has been associated with media and FMCG companies. He started his career with PepsiCo and was part of its launch team in Delhi. His next destination was ABP (Anandabazaar Patrika), followed by Business Standard, which gave him a head start in the print media.
