Shavon Barua has been named president, West and South, Euro RSCG India.

The Havas group-promoted Euro RSCG has made changes in the company's management team in India following Suman Srivastava's exit as CEO.

As part of the process, the agency has promoted Sushant Panda as managing partner and chief executive officer (CEO) of Euro RSCG India, while Satbir Singh has been elevated to managing partner. Singh will, however, continue as the chief creative officer (CCO). This is Singh's second promotion in the agency; he had been promoted as CCO in 2007.

Prior to the promotion, Panda was director of Euro RSCG's Delhi branch.

Shavon Barua has been promoted to the post of president, West and South, Euro RSCG. Before the elevation, Barua was director of the Mumbai branch of Euro RSCG.

Says Juan Rocamora, chairman, Euro RSCG Asia-Pacific, on the developments, "Between Singh, Panda and Barua, we have some brilliant talent poised to step up and lead us in our next phase of growth. During their time with us, Singh and Panda have worked closely as partners and we look forward to carrying this energy on to the next level. In the past two years, we have doubled our growth in India. Our aim is to continue to outpace market-growth."

Panda, who has over two decades of experience, has worked across Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Colombo, in various agencies such as Trikaya Grey, JWT, TBWA, and Bates. He has been with Euro RSCG Delhi for the last five years, prior to which he was associate vice-president at Bates Enterprise.

Singh joined Euro RSCG as executive creative director of the Delhi branch of the agency the same year as Panda. He came from Ogilvy India, where he had been vice-president. Singh has nearly worked on every product category in agencies like Trikaya Grey (now Grey), Leo Burnett, Contract, Equus, Ulka, and Ogilvy. He is recognised for his work on the Incredible India campaign.

This is Barua's second stint at the agency. Barua, who was business director at JWT, returned to Euro RSCG in 2009, to head the Mumbai branch. She had previously worked in the Delhi office of the agency, running the Reckitt Benckiser business.

Barua, who has over 15 of experience, started her career at Clarion (now Bates 141), in 1994. From there she moved to SSC&B Lintas, where she worked from 1995 to 2000. Her next stop was at Rediffusion Y&R. She later joined Ambience (now Publicis Ambience). For a short while, she moved to Delhi to head the operations of Dentsu's Q-Pro, the employee branding communications venture.
