Nickelodeon ropes in Vizeum as its media partner

Vizuem India has bagged the media mandate for Nickelodeon, from the Viacom 18 Media Network's stable. The incumbent agency for the account was Maxus.

The development happened after a multi-agency pitch that was initiated a couple of months back. The size of the account could not be ascertained at the time of filing the story, but it is believed to be a sizeable one.

In an official communique, Nina Elavia Jaipuria, senior vice-president and general manager, Nickelodeon India, says, "According to our assessment, Vizeum has the right hunger, passion and experience to make a difference to our brand. We look forward to a rewarding relationship that complements our aggressive business objectives."

Talking about the strategy that helped Vizeum to win the account, S Yesudas, managing director, India sub-continent, says, "I think our ability to look beyond the obvious solutions, coupled with our passion and market knowledge helped us to bag the account. This is a challenging assignment and we are aware of our responsibilities. We intend to work as the extended brand team of Nick to make tangible contributions to their business issues."

Not agreeing to divulge too many details about the agency's plans with Nickelodeon, Yesudas adds, "The kind of stuff we have planned will provide the brand a deeper connection with the relevant audience."

It is to be noted that Nickelodeon is Vizeum India's fifth win this year. The previous wins were TI Cycles, TTK Healthcare, Lotus Herbals, and Medela.
