Amar Ujala ropes in Sunita Sinha as AGM brand strategy

Sinha joins in from DNA where she was handling national trade marketing resource. She assumed her new role on March 31.

Amar Ujala has appointed Sunita Sinha as assistant general manager, brand strategy. She took over on March 31.

Sinha will report to Sunil Mutreja, president - marketing, Amar Ujala, and will be based in Noida, the group's corporate office.

Talking about her new assignment, Sinha, says, "I have joined Amar Ujala for professional growth as I will be working for a live edition. I will be based in the corporate office, which will give me exposure and opportunity. In the days to come, there will be a lot of action on the brand front at Amar Ujala."

With over 12 years of experience, Sinha is a specialist in brand marketing, trade management, event management, sales strategy, business planning, and general management. Prior to joining Amar Ujala, she was associated with Diligent Media Corporation, which owns the DNA newspaper, where she has worked since its inception. She was responsible for managing the daily's sales strategy and planning.

In the six years with DNA, she moved on to handle the national trade marketing resource department, where she was responsible for conceptualising and executing four seasons of the DNA T20 cricket league, and an annual trade marketing property in Delhi. Apart from DNA, she has worked with HT Media in the strategy cell for two-and-a-half years.

She is armed with a degree in Special Management Programme from the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata, and is a graduate in advertising and marketing from Patna University. She has also worked in the telecom sector, with a company called Koshika Telecom, where after her graduation, she joined as executive - corporate communication.
