The agency won three gold, two silver and four bronze metals and two finalist mentions; Karnataka Tourism and Classic Polo shared the Advertiser of the Year award.
Stark Communications has been adjudged the Agency of the Year in the fifth edition of the Pepper Awards. The awards were given away at a ceremony held at the Le Meridian, Kochi, on April 2.
Stark Communications, with three gold, two silver and four bronze metals, and two finalist mentions, emerged as the top agency on the basis of maximum points amassed in all categories. Other agencies that left significant marks among the list of winners include TCC (two golds, one silver and one bronze, and one finalist), Nirvana Films (one gold, three silvers, one bronze and four finalists) and Fingerprint (one gold, two silvers and four bronzes).
Karnataka Tourism and Classic Polo shared the Advertiser of the Year award.
The jury evaluating the entries comprised Agnello Dias, founder, TapRoot India, Priti Nair, founder, Curry-Nation, Raj Nair, regional creative director, Contract Advertising, and Dinesh Warrier, digital media expert.
"We are now confident to invite agencies from all over the country to compete for the creative awards in the coming years. Our endeavour is to make the creative award competition of the Cochin Ad Club as a globally benchmarked premium event every year. We hope the legend of Pepper and the creative spirits of the present would jell well to create a niche for Kochi in the global creative space," says Sudeepkumar T, president, Advertising Club of Cochin, in a press statement.
Last year, Mudra South won the Agency of the Year award, while Nirvana Films was declared the runners-up. Dentsu came third. Jockey won the Advertiser of the Year award.
