Candid Marketing appoints Dilip Moorkoth as VP, client servicing

Moorkoth moves in from BVU Media and will help in developing and growing the agency's business.

Activation agency Candid Marketing has brought on board Dilip Moorkoth as vice-president, client servicing. Moorkoth joined the agency on April 20 and will play a key role in developing the existing businesses and nurturing the growth of the agency.

Candid Marketing currently works with about 140 people across its offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata.

Prior to joining Candid, Moorkoth was chief marketing officer, BVU Media (a media, communication and entertainment agency), where he worked with clients such as HUL, McAfee, Audi, LG, ICICI and BCCI across an 11-month stint.

Commenting on Moorkoth's appointment, Devika Sharma, managing partner, Candid Marketing, says, "We are delighted to have Moorkoth join the firm and are positive that our clients will benefit from his breadth of knowledge and experience in the field of brand promotions."

Moorkoth comes on board with an experience of 13 years in the industry and specialises in strategic planning, interactive marketing, account management, events and activation.

Prior to BVU Media, Moorkoth was a part of Thinktank Branded Entertainment (June 2008-June 2010), where he spearheaded the business of developing advertiser-funded programmes. He worked closely with leading media houses such as GroupM ESP and Madison, and television channels such as Channel [V] and other channels of STAR TV, helping create TV content ideas for Lux Body Wash, Ponds, Hero Honda and Johnson & Johnson, among others.

He also served a 10-month stint at Grips Proevents as general manager, special projects till 2008. Earlier, he was business director, Solutions Integrated Marketing Services (August 2006-March 2007).

As chief operating officer, brand activation and a part of the core management team, Moorkoth was also instrumental in the growth of Midas Events during 2002-06. At Midas Events, he managed the businesses of HUL, Sanofi Aventis, Population Services International (PSI), Lowe, JWT, GroupM, Airtel, Wipro and Tata Sky.

During this stint, he led the team to win the National Gold Award for Outstanding Work on Social Projects at the Brand Equity Promo Awards 2006 for a national BTL (below the line) campaign Kaun Banega Shyam Sitara, conceptualised for PSI.

Moorkoth began his career in 1998 as an entrepreneur, setting up Eternia Enterprises, a company focussed on planning and management of consumer expos and conducting training programmes.
