Dipayan Chowdhury joins HT as media marketing head for English revenues, Delhi

HT Media has roped in Dipayan Chowdhury as media marketing head for English revenues in Delhi. Chowdhury joins in from DNA where he was executive vice-president (revenues), DNA. He was recently shifted to handle the Delhi branch of the organisation.

In his new role, Chowdhury will report to Nitin Chaudhry, vice-president, media marketing, HT Media, and will be based in Delhi.

Chowdhury has worked with HT Media earlier, as well, in various roles including heading one of the key accounts, in 2005.

At DNA, he was heading the national sales team and was promoted as executive vice-president (revenues) in March 2010. He has been associated with DNA newspaper for the past six years, and has been earlier responsible for the newspaper's Delhi branch.

Armed with 19 years of experience, Chowdhury has been associated with media and FMCG companies. He started his career with PepsiCo, and was part of its launch team in Delhi. His next destination was ABP (Anandabazar Patrika), in the ad sales team in Delhi. He later moved to Toshali Resorts as the marketing manager, and was in-charge of brand communication. He was also associated with Business Standard as regional manager, ad sales.

Chowdhury has a graduate degree from Delhi University, and has done his MBA from Rohilkhand University. He also has a managerial degree from IIM Calcutta.
