The Hindi daily NaiDunia has promoted Debu Mishra as president, sales and marketing. Earlier, he was vice-president, sales and marketing.
Mishra's mandate is to strengthen brand NaiDunia, along with sales development. "So far, the response towards the campaigns launched by us has been very good. For example, the snake and ladder, a game-based campaign launched initially in Indore, was re-launched after popular demand. The popular campaign has now been launched in Bhopal."
According to Mishra, the brand makes a continuous effort to engage with the readers in a unique and innovative manner.
Mishra, who holds a post-graduate degree in Applied and Analytical Economics from Utkal University, has been in sales throughout his career, spanning two decades.
He began his career with The Times of India (TOI) group in the results and market development division. He worked at the TOI for 13 years before moving to Hindustan Times (HT) as regional head, sales, in 2002. After working with HT for three years, he joined Amar Ujala as national head, sales. He worked at Amar Ujala for four years before joining NaiDunia.
