While no official comment was forthcoming at the time of filing the report, sources close to the development have confirmed the same to afaqs!.

Her next destination could not be ascertained.

Nair joined the agency in 2005, and rose up the ranks to head McCann Erickson One after the agency restructuring, early last year. During her stay at McCann, she worked on several brands that included L'Oreal, Onida, Radio Mirchi, Neo Sports and a part of the Marico account, among others.

In 2010, McCann Erickson (Mumbai) restructured by forming two units -- McCann Erickson One and McCann Erickson Two. Both units functioned independently, with separate accounts and resources. While Nair was chosen to head McCann Erickson One, Loveleen Raina returned to the agency from Leo Burnett for a second stint, to head McCann Erickson Two.

Armed with more than 10 years of experience in the advertising industry, Nair has also had stints at other agencies such as JWT, Lowe Lintas, and Young & Rubicam in Singapore.
