2011 Global Marketing Dynamics Conference to be held in Jaipur on July 25-27

The eighth edition of the conference will be held in India for the first time, where academicians and practising managers will get together to unveil and discuss the forthcoming challenges, issues and developments in marketing dynamics.

The 2011 Global Marketing Dynamics Conference will be held in India for the first time in Jaipur, on July 25-27. The eighth year of the conference will see academicians and practising managers get together to unveil and discuss challenges, issues and developments in marketing dynamics emerging as a tool to determine marketing strategies.

The conference theme this year is Transformative Marketing.

The conference will be attended by professors from world class business schools such as Harvard, Wharton, Stanford, Columbia, Yale, Cornell and Dartmouth, among others.

A distinguished panel of advisors will be guiding the entire conference. The panel includes Marnik Dekimpe of Tilburg University & Catholic University, Leuven Tulin Erdem of New York University, Dominique Hanssens of University of California, Los Angeles, Praveen Kopalle of Dartmouth College, V Kumar of Georgia State University, Venkatesh Shankar of Texas A&M University, Kannan Srinivasan of Carnegie Mellon University, K Sudhir of Yale University; Gerald J Tellis of University of Southern California, and Russell S Winer of New York University.

The conference will be open to about 150 selected delegates from corporate houses, academicians, and students from prestigious business schools. It will explore the classical role of marketing to transform commodities into brands, as well as marketing's modern role to transform customers, communications, co-creation, collaboration and communities.

Among the various speakers who will be present at the conference are Srinivasan K Swamy, R K Swamy BBDO, Ayan Mukerji, senior vice-president and global head, Wipro US, Shekhar Ramamurthy, deputy president, United Breweries, Arvind Sharma, chairperson, India subcontinent, Leo Burnett, and Anil Menon, president, globalisation, Cisco Systems, among others.

The Kolkata-based management consultancy firm AIDIAS is co-ordinating and managing the conference with its representation in Mumbai, Bengaluru and London, spearheaded by Deepak Pramanik, founder and chief strategy officer, AIDIAS.
