The channel will also add a new fiction property during the second-half of August, to feed the primetime slot.

Imagine TV will bring on board a fresh reality show on July 29, titled Gajab Desh Ki Ajab Kahaniyan. The show will occupy the 10 pm slot.

The bi-weekly will be aired every Friday and Saturday, and will showcase a variety of bizarre stories in a talk-show format that will be hosted by controversy queen, Rakhi Sawant.

Talking about the show format, Nikhil Madhok, senior director, marketing and communications, Imagine TV, tells afaqs!, "The show will look at very strange and extraordinary stories which will make the audience laugh and will surprise them, too."

This is Imagine's first step into the comedy genre and Madhok is optimistic that the show will be able to generate a healthy buzz amongst television viewers. And, with Sawant as the show host, the channel expects the property to generate enough noise.

"All shows on the channel with Sawant, have generated more noise as compared to the other properties on the channel. Therefore, with Sawant as the host for this fresh reality property, we expect to generate good eyeballs for the channel," adds Madhok.

Imagine is looking at approximately eight sponsors for the new show.

Meanwhile, the channel will also add a new fiction property during the second-half of August to feed the primetime slot.

"The show will be titled Dharam Patni. We are yet to decide as to whether the fiction will be utilised to open up a new slot, or replace an existing property. But, it will surely be a primetime daily," says Madhok.
