Airtel shifts part of its OOH duties to US Advertising

The agency will handle Airtel's Delhi, Rajasthan and Gujarat circles; the account size is estimated to be Rs 60-80 lakh.

Telecom major Bharti Airtel, commonly known as Airtel, has recently handed over the out of home (OOH) duties of its telecom business for Delhi, Rajasthan and Gujarat circles to US Advertising, Delhi.

Reliable sources in the industry have confirmed the development to afaqs!. However, despite several attempts, neither US Advertising, nor Airtel officials were available for comment.

The account size is estimated to be Rs 60-80 lakh. But it is to be noted that the total OOH spend of Airtel is approximately Rs 60 crore.

It has also been learnt that every quarter, three Airtel circles added to the US Advertising portfolio. Hence, by next year, the OOH agency will handle Airtel's entire telecom business. For the record, Airtel offers GSM mobile services in 22 telecom circles in India.

For the record, the creative duties of Airtel is handled by JWT.

US Advertising completed 16 years of existence last month. The agency's client list includes Aircel, Yamaha, HSBC Bank, Seagram, Kothari Group, and BIG TV, to mention a few.
