FCB's Sanjeev Bhargava takes on the role of managing partner at JWT

Bhargava fills the place left vacant by Rohit Ohri. This is his second stint at the agency.

Sanjeev Bhargava has joined JWT Delhi as managing partner, replacing Rohit Ohri. Earlier, he was chief operating officer, Draftfcb Ulka. This is his second stint at JWT as he was with the agency before he joined Draftfcb Ulka.

Colvyn Harris, chief executive officer, JWT, in an official communiqué, says, "JWT Delhi is our fastest growing office and Bhargava's proven track record and leadership qualities will ensure our continued leadership in the market. Our client roster comprises India's most admired and successful companies and to help them achieve their market ambitions and growth is our primary task."

Bhargava, in his new role, will be responsible for the functioning as well as getting new businesses for the branch.

"JWT has always been an institution that has led the way for advertising in India. The amazingly successful track record of the Delhi office is testimony to the vast resource pool of talent and leadership that exists in the organisation," he says.

Bhargava has a vast experience of more than two decades in advertising. He had been working at Draftfcb Ulka for 18 years. He joined the agency in 1993 as group manager, and was later promoted as chief operating officer in 2003.

He started his career with Lowe Lintas and over the years, has managed diverse clients such as Unilever, Nestle, Pepsi, HP, Compaq, Whirlpool, SC Johnson, Hero Honda, Naukri.com, Godfrey Phillips, Boeing, HCL, Frito-Lay and Tropicana, to name a few.

After graduating with honours in Mathematics from St Stephen's College, Delhi, Bhargava completed his MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi.
