Telecommunication company Bharti Airtel announced the appointment of chief executive officers (CEOs) for its Broadband/Data and DTH/Media services. Rajiv Rajgopal and Shashi Arora, respectively, will take over the new mandate.
Arora has successfully led the mobile business for some of Airtel's largest circles -- Delhi and Upper North.
In their new roles, both Rajiv Rajgopal and Shashi Arora will report to K Srinivas, president, consumer business, Bharti Airtel.
Sanjay Kapoor, chief executive officer - India and South Asia, Bharti Airtel, says, "I welcome Rajgopal and Arora as we move into the next phase of our strategic transformation of creating an integrated customer-centric organisation. With their rich experience and understanding of the business, we are confident that they will further consolidate and build on our leadership, in both Broadband/Data and DTH/media verticals."
Both these verticals are part of the Consumer Business Group that will lead the overall strategy for the business-to-consumer segment (B2C), with a clear focus on customer experience, product and service innovation, and to build an ecosystem around the B2C services.
