Dentsu India Group beefs up its senior management

The Dentsu India Group has appointed Ashwin Parthiban as executive creative director, Dentsu Communications, Bengaluru; Rajesh Bhargava comes in as general manager, studio and production, Dentsu Marcom.

In a bid to further strengthen its senior management, the Dentsu India Group has roped in Ashwin Parthiban as executive creative director (ECD), Dentsu Communications, Bengaluru, and Rajesh Bhargava as general manager, studio and production, Dentsu Marcom.

Parthiban, who will be based in Bengaluru, will head the creative team at Dentsu Communications at both the Bengaluru and Chennai offices.

Bhargava, who will be working from Dentsu India Group's headquarters in Gurgaon, will report to Rohit Ohri, executive chairman, Dentsu India Group, and will oversee all studio and production related services for Dentsu Marcom offices in India. He was, until recently, with Wieden + Kennedy, India, as head, production services.

Commenting on the new appointments, Ohri says, "Both Parthiban and Bhargava bring solid competencies on board. Parthiban straddles creative across disciplines and categories. While he aces mainline creative, he also understands both digital and direct well."

Ohri further adds, "Bhargava is known to be a proactive contributor to the creative process. His expertise and knowhow of production technologies ensure flawless execution on the last critical mile."

Parthiban was earlier with JWT, Delhi, as vice-president and senior creative director working with the Global Team Ford, where he led the creative team across mainline, digital and direct on the Ford account in India.

With over 16 years of experience in advertising and communications, Parthiban has worked with several agencies such as Rediffusion-Y&R, Dzine Interactive, R K Swamy BBDO, and Fountainhead Communications. He has also worked at Satyam Infoway, and Brand Franklin Templeton.

He has handled various clients like Ford, MRF, TI Cycles, TTK Healthcare, Parry's, Citibank, Airtel, Indian Oil, sify.com, Royal Enfield, Color Plus, Moods, Mahindra Holidays, ICICI Lombard, TTK Sara Lee, Hindustan Latex, Orchid Pharmaceuticals, and Citizen, to name a few.

An industry veteran, Bhargava began his 30-year-old career with Clarion Advertising (now, Bates). Subsequently, he moved to Contract Advertising, where he worked for almost 20 years. Thereafter, he shifted to JWT, Delhi, as associate vice-president, art and production, followed by his most recent role with Wieden + Kennedy.

Over three decades in the business, Bhargava's brand experience includes accounts such as PepsiCo, Nokia, General Motors, Indigo, Frito-Lay, Reckitt Benckiser, GlaxoSmithKline, Hero Honda, Oswal Knitwear, SBI Credit Cards, GE Capital, NIIT, Kelvinator, Whirlpool, Nestle, Dabur, ABN Amro Bank, JK Tyres and Atlas Cycles, amongst others.
