Mindshare hires Sushanto Biswas as partner, client leadership

Based in Delhi, Biswas will head the Ford team at Mindshare India.

In a bid to beef up its management, Mindshare, the GroupM-promoted media planning and buying agency, has recently appointed Sushanto Biswas as partner, client leadership.

Based in Delhi, Biswas will head the Ford team at Mindshare India. Earlier, Biswas was business director, MPG.

In an official communiqué, R Gowthaman, leader, Mindshare South Asia, says, "Biswas' wealth of client and business experience makes him an asset to the Mindshare team. His in-depth understanding of behaviour and trends in the media industry will add incredible value to our clients."

Talking about his appointment, Biswas says, "It is very exciting - and at the same time very challenging - to be a part of one of the fastest growing agencies in India. I have had experience in auto, having worked on General Motors and Maruti earlier. Ford has ambitious plans for the country over the next three-four years, and I see this as a great challenge to craft media solutions for it."

After completing his education from Banaras Hindu University, Biswas has spent more than 13 years in the media industry. In his career span, he has worked with various agencies in India, including Universal McCann.

Biswas has also worked on the client side at LG.

He has handled different clients such as HP, British Airways, Maruti, Videocon, MTS, Reckitt Benckiser, Gillette, Goodyear, Panasonic, MasterCard, General Motors and Microsoft.
