Hotels.com, an affiliate of Expedia, has launched a new, specially-designed iPad application. The application is available in more than 30 languages, and allows users to search and make bookings at 1,40,000 hotels around the world. It also allows users to choose from 20,000 last minute deals, browse more than 2.5 million user reviews, and find last-minute bookings close to their location.
The booking flow of the new application is intuitive and has been built to allow the keyboard to remain at the bottom of the screen throughout the process for ease of use. Users can flick through hotels, photos and reviews with one swipe, explore the interactive skyline with landmarks from around the world, make use of the powerful sort and filter tools, and also save and manage their favourite hotels.
Moreover, users can book as a guest or create a Hotels.com account, which can then be synchronised between the iPad, smartphone and desktop. Even without a data connection, all past and future bookings can be accessed.
The application also supports WelcomeRewards, the loyalty programme of the site that offers one free night for every 10 nights stayed.
