Star Plus organises flash mob to promote its new show

To promote its new programme 'Ruk Jaana Nahi', Star Plus organised a flash mob with 150 dancers in New Delhi.

After successful flash mob activity at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus train station in Mumbai, flash mob seems to be gaining popularity as a promotional tool. Star Plus organised a flash mob in the afternoon of December 16, 2011, near Dilli Haat ticket counter, New Delhi.

The initiative was in line to promote the launch of Star Plus' new programme Ruk Jaana Nahi, which will go on air from December 19, 2011, at 6.30 pm in the evening.

The activity went on for 20-25 minutes, with 150 dancers grooving to the show's theme song. Once the performance was over, the dancers went up to the ladies present there and encouraged them to face and fight their share of day-to-day problems.

Sameer Gupta, senior vice-president, marketing, Star Plus, says, "Ruk Jaana Nahin has a strong appeal for the youth. It is the story of a young girl who uses her intelligence as her strategic weapon to be victorious in life. The concept of flash mob, too, is unique and different, and matches with the feel of the show."
