The automotive portal will provide interactive video ads to its advertisers, using the online video advertising platform provided by Jivox.
CarWale, which leads the Indian online auto space with 4.3 million monthly visits and more than 40 million page views, plans to leverage video advertising and give its advertisers an opportunity to showcase their products and services to the Indian car consumer.
Commenting on the launch, Avijit Bhattacharya, senior vice-president, sales, CarWale, says, "CarWale has been offering video ads, but the Jivox platform completely revolutionises the way video ads are served."
Banwari Lal Sharma, head, marketing, CarWale, says, "We stand to gain by adopting the Jivox platform because it seamlessly integrates video content and social media, which will prove to be extremely beneficial and cost-efficient to our advertisers."
It may be recalled that Jivox had announced the availability of its interactive video advertising platform for licensing by publishers and digital content owners in the APAC region in November 2011. It allows publishers to monetise their video content by licensing the Jivox platform to generate and deliver interactive in-stream ads for its clients. The availability of video content is not a requirement as publishers can also monetise their banner inventory using in-banner interactive video ad units available on the platform.
The company had created separate sales, operations support, and creative support groups to be led by Rahul Tambewagh, director, platform sales, Jivox.
Tambewagh says, "We have trained and certified CarWale's ad operations team so that it is able to get maximum benefit from our platform. Jivox's support team will help with campaign optimisation, ad creation, tag generation, in-stream and in-banner integration, and together deliver high engagement campaigns."
