Canara Bank has empanelled eight agencies. The agencies empanelled by the bank are Ad Factors, Ad Syndicate, Aakar Advertising, Inter Publicity, Adwit, Lowe Lintas India, Percept/H, and MC&A Communications. The annual spends on the media are expected to be in the range of Rs 30-40 crore. The business will be managed from the Bengaluru branches of the respective agencies.
The scope of work for the empanelled agencies will include conceptualisation of creative and designing advertisements for print, electronic, and outdoor media.
The nationalised bank had called for an empanelment opportunity in May 2011. A rigorous pitch process followed the announcement. This is a part of the regular empanelment process that the bank undertakes. The previous empanelment of advertising agencies took place in the year 2009.
In the year 2007, Canara Bank had empanelled O&M specifically for its image change. The new logo for Canara Bank, then designed by the WPP owned Ray & Keshavan, comprised two entwined triangles in blue (for stability, scale, and depth), and bright yellow (for optimism, warmth, and energy).
