Affle has strengthened its content services with the appointment of Rahul Roushan as head, content services. He will be based at the company's Gurgaon office.
Roushan's mandate will be to create specialised content that will appeal to the consumers and advertisers. He says, "I will focus on creating branded content initiatives and drive the advertiser campaign solutions business."

In addition to handling the responsibilities at Affle, Roushan will continue with his own venture, Fakingnews.com, which will offer fun content comprising of new articles and a new look for the website. Faking News will also introduce marketing, advertising, merchandising and other commercialisation aspects, which will be managed by Affle.
"With Affle, I look forward to push Faking News higher up in the popularity charts and also create new opportunities to work with the team to develop diversified content and enhance user experience," adds Roushan.
Roushan, a post-graduate from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad, started as an anchor-cum-bulletin producer with Sahara Samay in September, 2002 and continued till May, 2005. In 2007, during the last year of post graduation, Roushan started a venture known as CricStock.com, which was an online trading game that worked on the principles of a stock market.
In 2008, he launched Fakingnews.com, an Indian news satire and humour website which was originally started as a blog and a hobby.
For the records, Affle is a mobile media company with headquarters in Singapore. It specialises in enhancing user experience in mobile messaging. The company currently operates in Singapore, India, China, the UK, the US, Indonesia, Australia, Thailand and Malaysia.
