AdoTube launches India operations

The APAC operations of the US-based in-stream advertising technology company will be handled by Vijay Kunduri and Pooja Gupta.

AdoTube, the in-stream video advertising technology company owned by Exponential, has announced the launch of its India operations, along with new offices in four other locations. Apart from a new office in Mumbai, AdoTube has opened new offices at London, Toronto, Singapore and Dubai, with the aim to capitalise on the reported 1.2 billion online video viewers across the world.

Vijay Kunduri, director, sales, and Pooja Gupta, senior business manager, will cover most of the Asia Pacific region from AdoTube's Mumbai and Singapore offices. Earlier, Kundari was working with the Web18 Group, while Gupta worked with Tribal Fusion.

Commenting on the expansion of AdoTube, Steven Jones, chief strategy and operations officer, AdoTube, says, "Access to broadband technology has spurred global consumption of online video across multiple devices. AdoTube is well positioned to help brands benefit from that shift by delivering highly engaging and relevant campaigns in online video content. Our expansion into EMEA and APAC brings those capabilities to a much wider audience."

Speaking about the reason behind opening an India office, Jones says, "India is one of the five regions AdoTube has strategically identified as a key market to establish its in-stream video advertising technology. The move will serve as a strong complement to Exponential's portfolio of businesses in the digital advertising sector and further help advertisers to drive prospective customers to know, love and buy their brands."

Along with the expansion, AdoTube has also unveiled a rebranding exercise, including a new site and logo to cater to its expanding global audience.

AdoTube is headquartered in New York, with offices in three other cities in the US, and in Romania, Russia and Melbourne (Australia).

It may be recalled that Exponential Interactive, which owns online advertising firm Tribal Fusion, had acquired the US-based video ad network in September, 2011.
