ACK Media appoints Abizar Shaikh as director, IBH

Shaikh joins the company from Max New York Life Insurance, where he was corporate vice-president (agency).

ACK Media has appointed Abizar Shaikh as director of IBH Books and Magazines Distributors with immediate effect. He moves in from Max New York Life Insurance where he was corporate vice-president (agency). Shaikh will be based in Mumbai.

Shaikh has more than two decades of experience in strategic planning and leading large teams across consumer and retail businesses in companies such as Kotak Group, Max New York Life Insurance and Blow Plast. At Max New York Life Insurance, he has also held the position of managing partner, before being promoted to the post of corporate vice-president.

This mechanical engineer also holds an MBA degree in marketing from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research.
