Sourav Ray joins Euro RSCG

Ray will replace Narayan Devanathan as chief strategy officer. He will report to Sushant Panda, CEO and managing partner, Euro RSCG.

Sourav Ray, erstwhile national planning director at Bates 141 China, has joined Euro RSCG as chief strategy officer in February. He replaces Narayan Devanathan, who left Euro RSCG in September, 2011 to move to Dentsu Marcom.

Ray says, "After the recent revamp in the management, there are many fresh and young minds at the agency. Plus, we have a varied range of clients. The recently started digital responsibility is one of the impressive reasons for me to join. The agency has moved beyond traditional media."

After obtaining a Masters degree in management from IISWBM, Ray joined Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai in 1995 as senior account executive. After two years, he moved to Leo Burnett Delhi as account director. Subsequently, he moved back to Ogilvy & Mather as planning director, Delhi in 2000.

After four years, he shifted to Ogilvy & Mather, Hong Kong. In 2007, he shifted to Bates 141 China as national planning director. He quit Bates in 2010 and shifted to India.
