NCR to get another youth magazine, Youth Epoch

The monthly magazine will be launched in May with a print run of 50,000 copies.

Hint Media Group will launch an English magazine for the youth in the Delhi-NCR region. Youth Epoch, to be launched in May, will be an education and lifestyle offering. It will be the group's second English offering, the first being its flagship title Hint Weekly, an English weekly which is in publication since 1963.

The 50 year old media house also publishes a Hindi newspaper titled Hint and a Hindi weekly called Hint Weekly (Hindi) from Ghaziabad, Meerut and Noida. The group also owns a community radio (90.4 FM). The group is led by journalist Kamal Sekhri, who is the chairman of the group.

The new title will be launched with an initial print run of 50,000 copies, to be distributed across schools, colleges, corporate houses, book stalls and book houses located in the Delhi-NCR region. The monthly magazine will have a cover price of Rs 100.

The English title will target those in the age group of 15-40 years. "It will be an upgrader, informer, entertainer and educator. Youth Epoch will cover everything in the field of education. It will focus on the modern society and bridge the stark contrast created by the global renaissance with the technological developments," says the company spokesperson.

The group plans to promote the new entrant through its own network of newspapers and radio in the initial phase. Going forward, it will take up digital advertising, BTL (below-the-line activities and direct marketing to promote the product.

For the record, Hint Media Group was launched in January 1963 and today has presence across print, radio and digital media.
