World Bank-supported Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project (TNHSP) is on the lookout for a creative and media agency in Chennai. The mandate for the agency will include creating, producing and broadcasting television commercials, radio spots and films for the creation of awareness on the Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project programmes.

The size of the business could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report but it is known to be substantial.

Some of the programmes undertaken by TNHSP include screening and treatment of cervical and breast cancer, and prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes.

Established in 2005, TNHSP is an initiative of the Government of Tamil Nadu, in partnership with the World Bank, to create a health system in Tamil Nadu that is highly accessible, equitable and effective.

TNHSP focuses on various areas of healthcare that include increased access of health services for the poor, disadvantaged and tribal groups. It aims to develop effective interventions to address key health challenges and thus combat diseases and accidents.

It works to improve health outcomes and the quality of service by strengthening management of the public sector health systems and by involving the non-governmental sector. The body also strives to achieve increased effectiveness and efficiency of the public sector hospital services at the district and sub-district levels.
