In an attempt to tap the mobile advertising space in India, mobile advertising network InMobi has appointed Sandeep Deshpande as country general manager, India and Vishal Nongbet as business head, brands. At InMobi, Deshpande will be responsible for InMobi's business operations and growth in India.
Deshpande has more than 20 years of experience, out of which he spent close to 10 years in the internet domain. Earlier, he was country general manager, Alibaba.com. Deshpande has also worked with companies such as Yahoo and Rediff.com. As general manager at Yahoo, he was instrumental in the launch and growth of Yahoo! Search Marketing, Yahoo Small Business and Local Search.
Nongbet has more than 13 years of experience and was earlier working with the Times of India group as general manager, brand. He has also worked with companies such as PepsiCo, Kodak and SMSGupshup.

InMobi is banking high on the opportunities available in the Indian market. With the increased penetration of smartphones across age groups and social strata, mobile ad impressions, too, are witnessing an upsurge and increased acceptance amongst the advertiser community.
