Cogmat to handle digital duties of Benzer

The agency's mandate includes creating a stronger digital presence for the Mumbai-based high street brand through social media and other digital tools.

Digital media agency Cogmat has won the digital duties of Mumbai-based high street fashion brand Benzer.

No formal pitch was held for the account. Cogmat was chosen after it approached Benzer with a plan of the digital initiatives. The brand spends close to 10 per cent of its marketing budget on the digital platform.



Confirming the news to afaqs!, Payal Savla, director, Benzer, says, "Benzer World Group has been in retailing for the last 30 years and has seen the market evolve. The presence in the social digital world aims to provide complete proposition to families who love exquisite Indian ethnic apparel. It has been on the agenda for quite some time to give a full-fledged online shopping experience to our international customers, to enrich the shopping experience with all the features that any reputed online store provides, plus much more."

Cogmat will work to build a large online community of users who love high-street ethnic Indian wear with the help of social media marketing and online reputation management for Benzer and its e-commerce portal, The agency also plans to leverage social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter to drive the brand's e-commerce portal. The YouTube page of the brand has also undergone a makeover as a part of the digital branding exercise.

For the record, Cogmat is a digital media agency based in Mumbai and Hong Kong. It works with companies in various industry verticals including education, luxury hospitality, financial services, FMCG and retail. Its clients include Oxemberg, Eurokids, Welingkar Group of Institutes and Mufti, among others.
