Driver will set up his own theatre company shortly.

Zubin Driver, chief executive officer, Cell18 and group creative director, Network18, has put in his papers. He has been with the Network18 group for the past 11 years.

Driver will set up his own theatre company shortly, along with a separate production house for creative content, catering to all platforms including TV and films.

Confirming his move to afaqs!, Driver says, "I want to quit when I am at the top of my game. It has indeed been a great journey here with the team at Network18 group and my best wishes go to all my colleagues at Network18."

Driver, who began his career with Everest Brand Solutions as a copy trainee, has 22 years of experience in the advertising, theatre and film industry.

Prior to joining Network18, he has worked with agencies such as Ogilvy, Lowe Lintas & Partners, TBWA and Madison DMB & B.

An Economics graduate from St. Xavier's College, Driver holds a Master's degree in Literature and Aesthetics from Mumbai University.

During his tenure at Network18, Driver has been closely involved in setting up the creative teams for five news channels as well as for History TV18. In 2010, he set up the creative production house Cell18 that eventually became a profitable unit of Network18.

He is also the founder of 'Fight Back', an online movement that aggregates and activates the youth on various political and developmental issues that plague our society.
