Opera Mini introduces Smart Page feature

Smart Page aggregates feeds from Facebook and other sites and reproduces it as a bulletin on all basic feature phones.

Opera Mini 7 has introduced Smart Page, a feature to help mobile users to connect with friends and the web on almost all basic mobile phones. Smart Page aggregates feeds from Facebook and other sites and produces it in the form of a one-page summary of all the news from the user's social media platform feeds using the data-crunching and money-saving technology.

Opera Mini introduces Smart Page feature
Smart Page in Opera Mini 7 will help users to be up to date on the latest happenings in their social life. It includes suggestions for news sites to follow, as well as the possibility for the user to add the feeds of sites that he/she browses most often, enabling easier access to content, all in one place.

Commenting on the new feature, Lars Boilesen, CEO, Opera Software, says, "I've spent hours typing web addresses on my mobile phone. But now there's a super smart way to get most of your content at a glance. With Smart Page, you just open the browser, and the content is right beside your Speed Dial shortcuts in the start screen for you to skim through - super practical, super time-saving and super smart. I guess that's why the product team called it Smart Page."

Sunil Kamath, sales director, India and SAARC, Opera Mini, says, "Opera Mini 7's Smart Page provides super-fast access to all your favourite web content. It is a must-check out if you have never experienced Opera Mini before. We will continue to wow our users by making web browsing a fun experience and continue to be the most favoured browser on Indian mobile devices."
