The new agency will focus on creating quality and creative content across television, web, mobile, films and live entertainment.

Zubin Driver, former chief executive officer, Cell18 and group creative director, Network18, has started his own multi-media creative agency, Pundalik. Driver quit Network18 in May, ending his 11-year stint with the company.

The new entity will create content across television, web, mobile, films and live entertainment and will have an independent film vertical. "We are extremely committed to produce quality, good and creative content for our clients to satisfy them effectively. Quality is the most important part of our work," says Driver. The agency has already shot a pilot for a leading channel and the team is actively pitching in the market.

Sharing the thought process behind launching the agency, Driver comments, "I have been in the media industry for about 21 years and now I feel I can optimise my skills in my own venture, focussing on the regional space."

As Driver is attached to the Varkari movement and the agency runs on the ethos of devotion, it has been given the Marathi name, Pundalik, after the Varkari saint and a devotee of Lord Vithoba.

The Pundalik core team comprises Harish Tiwari from TV18, who joined as director of the company; Ganesh Sagade, who has worked with ETV for 10 years; Nidhi Tanna; and Nitin Godambe, production controller.
