Barun Das, CEO, Zee News, says, "In line with our aggressive growth stratagem that will be fuelled by a combination of editorial and business inventiveness, Sudhir Chaudhary fits the bill perfectly in the future scheme of things. However, undoubtedly, we will miss Satish's zeal and enthusiasm."

Chaudhary comes from Live India and Mi Marathi, where he was serving as CEO and editor.

Punit Goenka, managing director, Zee News, says, "Satish has decided to move on. He has been a part of the Zee News family for more a decade and has contributed enormously to making the channel a thought leader. We welcome Sudhir and hope that he will drive the company to the next level."

Chaudhary started his career with Zee News in 1993. He moved on to Sahara Samay National after about a decade. He joined the channel as a part of the core team that launched the channel as a senior anchor. Subsequently, he joined India TV as executive editor.

Later, he joined Live India (which was known as Janmat TV at that time) in March, 2007.
