GEC Watch: Zee inches closer to Star Plus with a gap of 23 GRPs
Zee TV continues to stick to the No. 2 position with a push in its GRPs, on the back of its weekend prime time properties, DID L'il Masters and newly launched Fear Files. The GRPs for the channel are up from 238 in the previous week to 253 in the current week.
Zee, on the back of its weekend prime time properties DID L'il Masters and newly-launched Fear Files, continues to stick to the No. 2 position with 253 GRPs, up from last week's 238 GRPs.
Maintaining its place at No. 3, Viacom 18's Colors has increased its GRPs by five points, garnering 230 GRPs, up from last week's 225 GRPs.
MSM's Sony, too, continues to be at No. 4, with an increase of 15 GRPs to clock 222 GRPs in Week 28 (as compared to 207 GRPs in the previous week).
Sony's sibling channel SAB TV is at No. 5, 99 GRPs behind Sony. The channel has garnered 123 GRPs in the current week (down from 125 GRPs in Week 27).
At No. 6, Life OK is at 114 GRPs, up from 103 GRPs that it garnered last week. Sahara One follows Life OK with 39 GRPs in the current week.
Star Plus' Diya Aur Baati Hum rules the roost of the top 10 programmes in the Hindi GECs with 5.9 TVRs. DID L'il Masters (Zee TV) has once again geared up to clock 5.2 TVRs in the Saturday episode, up from last week's 3.6 TVRs. The show has acquired two positions in the top 10 list, another one in the fourth position.
Next, at No. 3, Balika Vadhu from the Colors banner gathered a TVR of 4.3, followed by the newly launched horror fiction property of Zee, Fear Files with 4 TVRs. The fourth position is shared by DID L'il Masters' Sunday episode with the same TVR.
Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai follows at No. 6 with 3.8 TVRs. Sony's shows, CID (3.8 TVRs), Bade Achche Lagte Hain (3.7 TVRs) and Crime Patrol (3.4 TVRs) stand back-to-back at Nos. 6, 8 and 9, respectively. CID and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai share the sixth position.
Saathiya Saath Nibhana clocked 3.2 TVRs.
