Homeshop18 initiates creative and media pitch

HomeShop18, the home shopping channel from the house of Network18, is on the lookout for a creative partner as well a media planning and buying agency.


While the size of the business could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report, it is said to be substantially high.

A senior executive of the channel has confirmed the news to afaqs!, on condition of anonymity.

Currently, the creative and media planning and buying duties of HomeShop18 are managed by an in-house team. Earlier, after a multi-agency pitch, Lowe Lintas & Partners' Delhi office had won the business in 2010.

The channel had also initiated a creative pitch in 2008, which had then witnessed participation from agencies such as Publicis India, Grey and M&C Saatchi. However, it failed to reach a decision and awarded its Diwali campaign, Diwali Dhamaal, to Leo Burnett.

For the record, Network18 launched its 24-hour home shopping channel in 2008.
