NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) has wrapped up its recently initiated creative pitch and has empanelled three advertising agencies. These agencies are Inter Publicity, Sobhagya Advertising and Concept Communications.
All three agencies will handle both, the creative as well as media planning and buying duties for the brand.
Though the tender announcing this development is yet to be released by the authorities, afaqs! has learned the news from company sources close to the development. This decision was taken on August 10.
NABARD is an apex development bank. It facilitates credit flow for the promotion and development of agriculture, small scale industries, cottage and village industries, handicrafts and other rural crafts.
NABARD also supports other allied economic activities in rural areas, promotes integrated/sustainable rural development and secures the overall prosperity of rural areas. Specifically, NABARD's mandate is to provide refinance to lending institutions in rural areas, bring about institutional development and evaluate, monitor and inspect clients' banks.
The bank's mandate is also to coordinate the operations of rural credit institutions, assist the government and the Reserve Bank of India in rural development issues, offer training and research facilities for banks, cooperatives/organisations working in the field of rural development, help the state governments to provide assistance to eligible institutions in agriculture and rural development and, in general, act as a regulator for cooperative banks.Major stories over the last 30 days
