Malaika, Karan Johar up viewership quotient for India's Got Talent

The show has scored 4.1 TVRs in the C&S 4+, Hindi speaking market in its fourth edition.

If Dharampaji's charm spelled the viewers during the opening episode of India's Got Talent 3, Malaika Arora Khan's savvy appeal and Karan Johar's celeb-charisma during the latest season has surely upped the show's marvel a notch higher.

According to TAM data provided by various media agencies, the show has scored 4.1 TVRs in the C&S 4+, Hindi speaking market in its fourth edition. Now, when compared to the opening ratings of the reality property in its first three editions, the latest season surely wins the race.

Consider this: the first season of India's Got Talent opened with a TVR of 2.36. Meanwhile, in the second season, the opening TVR for the show was 3.08 and in the third edition, the opening stood at 3.91 TVR.

Talking about the first week (Week 38) average ratings of the reality property, while the average for the first week of the show stands the same ground (4.1 TVR), the first week average for India's Got Talent 3 stood at 3.55 TVRs. Also, the first season of India's Got Talent averaged at 2.36 TVRs during its first TAM week; in the second season, the first week's average was 3.32 TVRs.

India's Got Talent 4 is in fact the second top scorer for Colors, the official broadcaster, for the week ended September 22. Balika Vadhu leads the channel's primetime programming with 4.5 TVR.

It would, however, be interesting to note here that when it comes to reach, it's the third edition of the show that scores the highest. India's Got Talent 3 launch episode reached out to as many as 19.8 million viewers, while the latest season's first episode has reached out to 18 million viewers.

For the record, the first and the second seasons of the show reached out to 11.1 million viewers and 16 million viewers, respectively.
