Talent agency KWAN has tied up with Creative Artists Agency (CAA), a global entertainment and sports agency, to set up CAA KWAN. The joint venture will represent talent in India and the SAARC nations. It will help talented individuals to bag commercial deals in the form of motion pictures, television (including packaging and sales), music, commercial endorsements, sports consulting, licensing and merchandising, live events and business development.
Richard Lovett, president, CAA, says, "India's robust entertainment industry offers CAA KWAN tremendous opportunities for talent across multiple platforms. In a very short period of time, KWAN has intelligently scaled and diversified its business to maximise this thriving marketplace for its clients. KWAN's deep network of relationships, local market knowledge and collaborative business philosophy make it a powerful partner to further CAA's existing business in India and provide our clients with more opportunities."
Anirban Das Blah, chief executive and managing director, KWAN, says, "We believe that the combination of CAA's experience, influence and expertise with KWAN's extensive knowledge of the Indian entertainment industry will enable us to provide an unmatched spectrum of services for our clients."
Los Angeles-based CAA represents more than 700 of the world's top athletes in sports and works on broadcast rights, corporate marketing initiatives, licensing and sports properties for sales/sponsorship opportunities. It has offices in New York, Chicago, Nashville, London and Beijing.
