Maxposure Media to launch Parents India magazine

To be launched by December, the monthly magazine will target expecting and new parents; the website was launched in August.

Maxposure Media Group has announced that it will launch a print publication, Parents India magazine. It is the first licensed magazine from the group, which is a subsidiary of Gruner+Jahr, which comes out with Eltern (Parent in German) magazine. Parents India will cater to expecting and new parents. The magazine is expected to be launched by December, after clearance from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Registrar of Newspapers of India.

Slated to be a monthly issue, the magazine will be priced at Rs 100, with 36,000 copies in its initial print run. It will also have special issues on topics such as 200 Q&A on pregnancy, New Born Babies, and Shopping for My Baby.

Interestingly, the online version of the magazine,, was launched on August 15. The online magazine offers information on various facets of parenting, with useful tools and a community platform for its users. The community interface enables users to interact with other parents and share experiences and opinions.

Every issue of Parents India will provide age-specific child development guidance and other valuable advice on emotional, physical and social development of the child.

To market the offering, the group plans to use the website and organise various events across the country to target its core readers, says Vikas Johari, publisher and COO, Maxposure Media Group.

The magazine will be available on newsstands, airports, hospitals and doctors' clinics, apart from online subscriptions through Zinio and Magster.

Maxposure Media has interests in publishing, creative solutions, events, custom publishing, international representation, ambient media and outsourcing. It has 100 employees working across its eight offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Indore and Ahmedabad.
