MTDC empanels JWT, Concept and Network Advertising

In all, there are 10 agencies that Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has empanelled in order to manage both creative and media duties for the organisation for a period of at least one year.

Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has empanelled 10 agencies over all to manage both media and creative duties for the organisation for a period of one year. The empanelment process began around three months ago and was completed only recently.


The empanelled agencies include JWT India, Concept Communication, Network Advertising, MX Advertising, Mercantile Advertising, Adfactors, Graphics, Kautilya Multi Creations, Paramin Advertising and Ad Syndicate.

The approximate spend on media could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report. The media mix includes a TVC. The empanelled agencies have already started work on it.

MTDC has, since its inception, been involved in the development and maintenance of the various tourist locations of Maharashtra. MTDC owns and maintains resorts at all key tourist centres and has planned for more resorts.

In 2010, MTDC's 'Colours of Konkan', a documentary film created out of a creative collaboration between Tailormade Films and Mudra Advertising, won at the 56th National Film Awards. The film was entered under the title 'Lost and Found' and showed the journey of an old bottle, which travels down the coast of Maharashtra and witnesses life in and around the region.

The journey covers the beaches, cities, temples, dargahs, forts, villages and forests of Konkan. The film also showcased unique festivals, culture and customs of the state, folk theatre and the state's cuisine. The concept and idea of the film was by the Mudra West creative team.
