Monica Tata, general manager, Entertainment Networks South Asia, Turner International India has decided to move on from the company. Tata has been with the network for close to nine years. She is currently serving her notice period and will leave the company on December 31.
Meanwhile, the company has not made any new appointments to take over Tata's duties. Her responsibilities will now be handled by Siddharth Jain, managing director, South Asia, Turner International India.
Tata is the second senior level executive to quit the company in the past two months. In October, Anshuman Misra, senior vice-president and managing director, networks and content distribution, Turner International Asia Pacific left the company, thereby ending his 14-year stint with the company.
Tata started her career with Sunday Mail as marketing executive in 1991. After spending about two years in the company, she moved on to join STAR India. She stayed with the group for about 12 years and moved on as senior vice-president to join Turner International as vice-president, advertising sales, in 2004.
Apart from managing Turner International's day to day business operations, she is also a member of the managing committee at the India chapter of the International Advertising Association.
