Rajesh Jejurikar quits Zee

Jejurikar will return to Mahindra & Mahindra to supervise the tractor and farm business of the company.

Rajesh Jejurikar, who joined Zee Entertainment Enterprises as president in February, has quit the organisation.

Commenting on the move, Punit Goenka, MD and CEO, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL), says, "In a short stint at Zee, Rajesh has brought in newer business perspectives and has contributed to the process immensely."

Jejurikar had moved in from Mahindra & Mahindra, where he was chief executive officer for the automotive division. He has decided to move back to Mahindra & Mahindra, where he will supervise the tractor and farm business of the company.

Speaking on his tenure at Zee, Jejurikar says, "The time spent at Zee was extremely fruitful. I am thankful to ZEE and Punit for giving me an opportunity to explore and broaden my experience in the media and entertainment space.."

Jejurikar's last day with the company will be December 31, 2012. All verticals and department heads at Zee will now report to Goenka.

Before joining Zee, Jejurikar, an MBA from the S P Jain Institute of Management, had been with Mahindra & Mahindra for 11 years. Earlier, he was with FMCG company Marico Industries, where he spent nine years (from 1991 to June, 2000).
