Mitali Srivastava puts in her papers at DDB Mudra

Mitali Srivastava, associate vice-president, strategy and planning has put in her papers at DDB Mudra. She had joined the agency in 2010. She was based in the Mumbai branch and reported to Aditya Kanthy, senior VP, planning, DDB Mudra, Delhi & Mumbai.

She was the lead planner for the Volkswagen business and was moved to the Johnson & Johnson business two months ago. She was the lead planner for Johnson & Johnson's Neutrogena and Clean n' Clear business, HUL's Lipton, Dr Reddy's Velocit and Nise Gel and J&J's Mentor & Realize.

In fact, Srivastava managed the planning department of DDB Mudra Mumbai (including the four verticals, DDB India, Tribal DDB, DDB Health & Lifestyle and Rapp).

Srivastava reveals that she is exploring other opportunities and also toying with the idea of starting her own outfit. She insists that she intends to do something different. "Research and training are my areas of interest. A lot of planners in the industry are in fact very good with research,"

After completing graduation with English honours from Delhi University, she started out as a television reporter for Zee News and moved into print for a newspaper of the Congress Seva Dal, a wing of the Congress (I), and then became deputy editor of a human resources and training magazine.

After working at Mindspace, a Delhi agency , she joined TBWA India, where climbed up the ranks to leave the agency as associate planning director. Later, she moved to Ogilvy India in 2008. At Ogilvy, she has worked on businesses such as Cadbury's Bournvita, Asian Paints, Kodak, World Gold Council and Tata Sky. It was after Ogilvy that Srivastava moved to DDB India (as it was called then) to join as associate vice-president, strategy and planning.

Currently, Srivastava is writing a book on the super rich in India.
