Ogilvy to handle Style Spa business

Ogilvy's Chennai branch will work on the account. TBWA is the incumbent creative agency.

Furniture retailer Style Spa (formerly Gautier India) has appointed Ogilvy Chennai as its new creative agency. afaqs! learns from the brand authorities that as of now, the Style Spa team is working with Ogilvy as well as a few other agencies on a project basis. Ogilvy will be handed the entire creative mandate and brought on board on a retainer fee basis in April.

Earlier, the creative duties for the brand were with TBWA India. In the past, Hakuhodo Percept handled this account, before which the mandate was with R K Swamy BBDO.

This development comes on the back of a multi-agency pitch process that was initiated around three months ago and took place in Chennai.

Chennai-based Style Spa is a part of the Adventz Group, a unified company banner inspired by the vision of the late K K Birla. The group has interests in areas such as fertilisers, heavy engineering and project management, amongst others.

Style Spa currently has more than 100 exclusive showrooms across 65 cities in the country. It was known as Gautier India until 2003.

The product portfolio comprises bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, office and occasion-based furniture, among others.
