GEC Watch: SAB TV is now 16 points away from Sony

Star Plus and Zee TV retain GRPs in Week 13.

While continuing to rule the roost of the Hindi general entertainment channels, Star Plus has maintained its position at last week's score of 291 GRPs without adding any points in Week 13 (C&S 4+, HSM). Overall, six of the channel's shows are in the most watched list.

At No. 2, Zee TV, too, stands firm at Week 12's score of 207 GRPs. The channel registered three of its shows in the top ranking list in Week 13.

As per the TAM data provided to subscribers, Viacom18's Colors, at No. 3, lost one point in Week 13 to garner 191 GRPs. The channel ended at 192 GRPs in Week 12. Three of its fiction shows made it to the top 10 list.

Holding fort at No. 4, MSM's Sony gained 20 points to reach to 175 GRPs in Week 13. The channel scored 155 GRPs in Week 12.

The family comedy entertainment channel from the MSM stable, SAB TV has moved up 17 points to land at 159 GRPs and the No. 5 position in Week 13. Sony and SAB TV (the two sibling GECs from MSM) are at a difference of 16 points.

While none of Sony's shows could get into the top rankers' list, SAB's flagship show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltaah Chashmah, continues to be present in the most watched shows' list.

Life OK has, however, has again decreased its numbers from 128 GRPs to 119 GRPs in the current week.

As for the most watched shows of the week, Star Plus' Diya Aur Baati Hum continues to be on the top with 5.1 TVRs, followed by the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah that stood with 4.2 TVRs.

The third position was shared by Pyaar Ka Dard Hai and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (both Star Plus' properties), with 3.8 TVRs each.

Meanwhile, the fourth position was taken by Zee TV's Sapne Suhane Ladakpan ke, which stood at 3.7 TVRs. This position was also shared by Star Plus's Renault Star Guild Awards and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlaata hai.

The fifth position was taken by Zee TV's Holi Ladakpan Ki (special episode of Sapne Suhane Ladakpan ke) with 3.5 TVRs.

Star Plus's Saathiya Saath Nibhana and Veera with 3.3 TVR's stood at the sixth position.

The seventh position was again shared by Colors Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junnon and Balika Vadhu with 3.2 TVRs.

SAB TV's SAB Ki Holi and Zee TV's Qubool Hai at 3.1 TVR shared the eighth position.

The ninth position was held by Colors' Uttaran at 2.6 TVR.
