Vaishali Sharma to head marketing at SONY MAX

Starting her second stint at MSM, Vaishali Sharma will be the head, marketing and communications for Hindi movies and special events channel Sony Max. She will be reporting to Neeraj Vyas, EVP and business head, MAX.

Multi Screen Media (MSM) has appointed Vaishali Sharma as the head, marketing and communications, for its Hindi movies and special events channel. This will be her second stint at MSM. She was earlier associated with the organisation between 1999-2001 in the capacity of assistant vice president, marketing.

Vaishali Sharma says, "MAX is uniquely positioned in the television arena, with non-stop high-quality entertainment, showcasing the best of movies and cricket. I look forward to take up this challenging role and work towards ensuring that the channel grows consistently to the leadership position in this space."

She has replaced Gaurav Seth who has been shifted to Sony Entertainment and will report directly to Neeraj Vyas, EVP & business head, MAX. Vaishali will be based out of Mumbai.

Vaishali has more than 20 years of experience across diverse platforms of business including brand, television channel launches, category creation, account management and others.

She has moved to MSM from Times Now where she was vice president, marketing for less than a year. She had put in her papers at Times Now in March 2012.

Before joining Times Now, Sharma was associated with BBC Global news for more than five years. There, she headed marcomm, South Asia, for the organisation's global news division.

Earlier she had worked with JWT, Walt Disney and McCann Erickson. Vaishali began her career in 1991 with McCann Erickson as an account executive.
