Media outsourcing company, Fourth Dimension Media Solutions, has recently taken aboard Sridhar Naidu as business head, south. He will be responsible for consolidating all the product lines in the company, across the various media platforms radio, television, print and activation.
At Fourth Dimension Media, he will be reporting in to Sreekant R, national sales head, who joined the company in October, last year. There are three more regional sales heads in the agency. In 2011, the company had roped in Thyagraj M to head the network sales for Western India, Balakrishnan Ravindran as regional head, Chennai (for activations and events) and Suresh Rao to head the network sales force in Mumbai. Thyagraj, Ravindran and Rao, too, report in to Sreekant.
Naidu has close to two decades of experience in the marketing and media business. He has spent the last eight years in radio in activation. About the shift to the other side of the table, Naidu says, "It's not much different. I have always been on the activation product line and worked for radio, a particular medium. At Fourth Dimension though, I will be working on all the media put together. TV is especially something that has never been on my KRA before. I am excited about that too."
He started his career with Hertz as sales executive, corporate sales in 1995. He moved to The Atria Hotel and then entered the digital medium in 2000 with ITNation, taking care of brandtechtree.com, channeltimes.com and cxotoday.com, along with the magazine 360. He left the company in 2005 as business development manager, Chennai and Bangalore.
He moved on to join Radio Mirchi as group manager, activations, Chennai in 2005. Post that he had a short stint at Microsoft handling its digital advertising in 2006. In 2007, he joined South Asia FM wherein he handled Red FM and Suryan FM. He was a part of the team that launched about 38 stations for the radio channel. He moved on from the company in 2011 as VP, business development.
He then had a few months' long stint at Big FM in 2011. He finally joined HT Media in 2011.
