Within a month of its Satna launch, Patrika Group has entered Rewa. It is not a separate edition, but will be serviced through Satna.
Prior to entering Rewa, Patrika conducted a survey, where a team of surveyors touched more than 31,000 households and received more than 26,000 orders, as per company officials.
Rewa has an average literacy rate of 73.4 per cent, close to the national average of 74.0 per cent , according to the 2011 census. Strong on forest and mineral resources, Rewa houses several large-scale units of industrial conglomerates.
The new entrant will face competition from existing newspapers including Dainik Bhaskar and Dainik Jagran.
Patrika's entry in Rewa is being promoted though an outdoor campaign which includes banners, auto branding and mobile vans. The outdoor campaign highlights local issues at all prominent sites in the city. The group has also initiated an on-ground awareness campaign.
